How can I improve my ranking in the WSS Directory?

The content of the page is the most important factor. (Your page should be informative).
Is your Title, and Description in the WSS Directory easy to read, and describe the page.
Downloading speed. (Faster is better).
Links - Do others feel your site is important enough to link to. (More is better)
Links - Do you provide links to the WSS Directory, and other sites. (More is better)
Update your site, and listing in the WSS Directory regularly. (Older sites will lose rankings to updated sites.)

Can I suggest a new category to the WSS Directory?

Sure, use the Update URL form and put your suggestion in the comments box. This does not guarantee it will be added. We will not add a category for just a couple pages.

How can I remove my link from the WSS Directory?

We have two ways of adding links to the WSS Directory. Either we enter them manually or our Welshie Web Search Spider adds them.
To remove your link, you can fill out the Update URL form, and put "remove link" in the comments box. Deleting a link is a totally different process then adding or updating links, it could take several months to delete a URL. You must also put the following code in your pages HTML to prevent search engine spiders from indexing your site. (Caution, research the Robots meta tag before adding this to your pages).

<meta name="Robots" content="NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW">

The Legal stuff!

Sorry to even have to say any of this, but the world is full of jerks.
The WSS Directory is my own personnel link to the internet. I designed this list of sites for my own personal use. In order for my list of sites to work it had to be uploaded to the internet. Which means you may find my list of sites when surfing the internet.
If you find this list you can use this list, and view this list, link to this list any way you want to.
If at any time you don't like the way it works, looks, or what's in it you can leave, and not come back.
If you don't want me, or others to view your site from my list of sites. I suggest you add password protection to your site. You can also follow the instructions on how to remove a link.
I can not guarantee if your site will be or not be listed in my list of sites.
I can not guarantee when your site will be or not be listed in my list of sites.
You will always be able to see which sites are mine, they will have http://www.welshspringerS.com, or http://www.welshspringerspaniels.com in the first part of the URL.
This is not a commercial site, I do not host, claim to host, or have anything to do with any, other than the ones listed above.
I ask, if you are going to submit a site to my list of sites that you follow any instructions the site owner has  posted on the page about linking instructions.
Please do not submit a page that bypasses the password protection set by a site owner.
Email does not work all the time so any legal issues send a certified letter to:

I'm new to the internet. How do I navigate in a frames environment?

Navigating in a frames environment is very easy. Both Netscape and Internet Explorer have options that will assist you. To access these options all you have to do is right click on a link, choose the option you want, then left click on that option. It doesn't even take a extra mouse click.

Get educated!

Some site owners are counting on you being stupid. They don't think you know how to use your right mouse button, or your browsers options. If you are tired of sites taking forever to download, tired of all the advertisements, and the many other things that frustrate you while surfing the web. Your browser has build in functions you can turn on or off, you can right click on pages and or links and get options that allow you to control how you view sites on the internet. A great place to learn most of the functions of your browser is .

Linking Information

If you go to any search engine, and look up improving your search engine rating. One important thing that boost your rating is how many sites link to your site. Not only do links from other sites boost your rating in the search engines, but they are the best, and cheapest way of promoting your site.  Some site owners are loosing their high search engine ratings to more important, and more linked to sites. In a attempt to save their search engine ratings they want to destroy the friendly linking between Welsh Springer Spaniel sites. Don't get fooled, and loose your search engine rankings to sites who will not link to you.
